Mr. Olsen is a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and a NC Board certiifed specialist in Elder Law.  He practices in the areas of elder law, estate planning, probate, guardianship, alternative dispute resolution, and estate and trust litigation. He has been a Superior Court Certified Mediator since 2000 and is a certified mediator in special proceedings before the clerk of court. He received his B.A. in Economics from Pomona College in Claremont, California and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Olsen is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association where he serves as a board member for the Elder Law section, the North Carolina and Washington (inactive) state Bars and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is a frequent speaker to other attorneys on topics of elder law including Special Needs Trusts, Medicaid, Probate and Mediation before the Clerk in Guardianship and Probate.
