Attorney David Pollan, of The Pollan Law Firm in Atlanta, Georgia, helps clients with elder law and estate planning needs. After earning a bachelor’s degree from Boston University, Mr. Pollan graduated from Atlanta’s Emory University School of Law. Since being admitted to practice in the state of Georgia since 1990, he has focused his practice in the areas of elder law and estate planning. In the course of his practice, he frequently engages with attorneys in other areas of law such as family law and personal injury.

Mr. Pollan has been recognized for more than two decades of work in these areas of law. He has attained the highest possible rating of AV Preeminent* from the attorney peer review organization Martindale-Hubbell and regularly gives presentations and authors articles on legal issues related to elder law.

Active in a variety of elder law organizations, Mr. Pollan has been involved with groups, including the Atlanta Regional Commission Aging and Health Resources Committee, the Georgia Community Trust, the Weinstein Hospice and the Senior Citizens Law Project. He also belongs to the State Bar of Georgia and is a member of the association’s elder law committee.

Prior to establishing The Pollan Law Firm, David previously served as the Legislative Coordinator for the Coalition of Aging Advocates for Georgia’s Elderly, a Program Representative for the AARP, Southeastern Regional Office, Staff Attorney with the Senior Citizens’ Law Project and AIDS Legal Project of the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. David concentrates his practice in elder and special needs law, including Medicaid Subrogation Litigation, Medicaid Appeals, Long-Term Care Medicaid and Medicaid waiver planning, SSI/ Medicaid planning, estate planning, special needs planning, special needs trusts, nursing home and assisted living issues, and contested and uncontested Child and Adult Guardianship and Conservatorship.
