Martin C. Womer Esq.

Maine Center for Elder Law, LLC

Martin C. Womer is the founder, and a partner/member of the Maine Center for Elder Law, LLC.

Marty received his Bachelor's degree, Cum Laude, from Colby College (1975), and his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law (1997). He began his career as a research chemist, and later worked in the field of land conservation. After attending law school in his early 40s, Marty was a Senior Planner with the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission, and then entered private practice of law. Taking care of his mother after the death of his father exposed him to elder law, which has been his focus since 2002.

Marty was the 2017 Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association (MSBA), a role he has also served several times in the past. He is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and ElderCounsel, LLC. Marty is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs (Veterans Administration).
