Alisa joined Needham Mitnick & Pollack, PLC in 2015.  Prior to that, she worked with and on behalf of people with disabilities both as Associate General Counsel at Special Olympics International and as the Executive Officer of the Maryland Commission for the Inclusion of People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.  Because of her work with the disability community, Alisa is attuned to issues facing families who desire to promote independence, while ensuring continued access to necessary resources and services for their loved one.  She brings a compassionate understanding of the aspirations and concerns of those who have a family member with a disability, or an elderly parent facing new health and memory challenges. 

Alisa is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arc of Northern Virginia and a member of the Falls Church City Human Services Advisory Council.

As a U.S. Foreign Service family, she has lived in Haiti, Bulgaria and Israel with her husband, two daughters and dog Lucky, and is now happy to have settled in the City of Falls Church, Virginia.  She graduated from American University’s Washington College of Law with honors and is licensed to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
