Jeff is a founding member of Barney & McKenna. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he was honored as the American Bank of Commerce Outstanding Student in Economics and graduated with high honors. Jeff obtained his law degree from Brigham Young University where he was awarded a full three year scholarship, was named an Edwin M. Thomas scholar, and served on the B.Y.U. Law Review.

Jeff is married to Mimi McKenna and the father of two daughters and two sons. He is active in community programs. He is a Founding Member and past President of the Southern Utah Estate Planning Council. He has served as a Scout Master with Boy Scouts of America for over five years. He has been a member of the Washington County Library Board of Trustees for over four years. He is a current member of the Southern Utah Veterans Home Advisory Board. He served as the first President of the Southern Utah Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. The J. Reuben Clark Law Society is a worldwide network sponsored by Brigham Young University that has as one of its primary purposes the promotion of fairness and virtue founded upon the rule of law. Additionally, he has served as the President of the Mesquite, Nevada Exchange Club. The Exchange Club is a national service organization with the primary purpose of bettering communities and the prevention of child abuse. He is currently serving on the Washington County Library Board of Trustees and has participated in the planning and building of several new libraries in Washington County, Utah.

Jeff’s primary areas of practice are estate planning, estate administration, will contests, and asset protection. Jeff is one of the few attorneys in the region licensed to practice law in Utah, Nevada and Arizona.
