Karen Oliva brings an extensive background as an executive assistant to this position, which is especially valuable to our law firm. Her job requires someone who is highly skilled in all areas of administration, is computer savvy, understands the importance of maintaining a high level of confidentiality, and possesses the human elements of warmth, patience and compassion. Karen possesses these characteristics and more. Ms. Oliva’s duties at the firm include initial drafting of estate planning documents, aiding with guardianship issues, helping disabled clients, assisting clients with Medicaid applications, and corresponding with courts, clients and other professionals. The firm’s clients include baby-boomers, senior citizens, parents of special-needs children and others seeking to care for their families through proper planning. Prior to joining The Law Office of Michael L. Pfeifer, P.C., Ms. Oliva spent her career at Pfizer, Inc. in New York City, serving in progressive positions of responsibility, beginning as an administrative assistant in the marketing department, ultimately becoming executive assistant to the senior vice president in the corporate tax division. She received a diploma in secretarial studies from the Berkeley Claremont School of Business in Hicksville, New York.
