Martin C. Womer Esq.
Martin C. Womer is the founder, President and Managing Attorney of the Maine Center for Elder Law, LLC. He assists clients with Medicaid (MaineCare) planning and applications, planning for VA Aid and Attendance eligibility, and trust and estate planning and settlement. His area of concentration is crisis Medicaid planning and Medicaid pre-planning.
Marty received his Bachelors degree, Cum Laude, from Colby College (1975), and his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law (1997). After law school, Marty was a Senior Planner with the Maine Land Use Regulation Commission from 1997 to 1999, prior to entering private practice of law.
Marty is a former Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association (MSBA), for which he often teaches seminars on long-term-care planning. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and ElderCounsel, LLC. Marty teaches the legal-technical portions of ElderCounsel's "Elder Law Immersion and Practice Building Camp", an intensive three-day course for members of ElderCounsel.
The Maine Center for Elder Law, LLC is dedicated to helping:
SENIORS AND THEIR FAMILIES - by assisting in ELDER LAW, including long-term-care and Medicaid (MaineCare) "pre-planning" and Crisis MaineCare Planning, preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and any needed conservatorships and guardianships;
VETERANS AND THEIR WIDOWS OR WIDOWERS - by planning for eligibility for Veterans Administration Aid and Attendance or related non-service-connected pension benefits; and
INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES - by developing and implementing estate plans through personalized design, assistance in funding trusts, periodic plan updates, and administration and settlement of trusts and estates.
