Search for Elder Law Attorneys
Attorney Shea has over 12 years of experience in the private practice of law as well as over 18 years experience working in law related jobs prior to commencing his practice.
He represents people of all levels of wealth with estate planning, including preparing wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, and health care proxies, in addition to advising clients on the impact of income and wealth transfer taxes on their estates both during their lives and upon their deaths.
Attorney Shea assists clients with advice and guidance on the accumulation and disposition of property – both during life and upon death – to loved ones and other beneficiaries of their choosing. In recommending certain actions, John seeks to balance clients’ (sometimes competing) goals of reducing or eliminating income and wealth transfer taxes and maximizing asset transfers, on the one hand, with family harmony, ease of administration, preservation of privacy, maintenance of wealth along family blood lines, and charitable giving, on the other hand.
Estate planning does not always involve tax planning; people of all levels of wealth may wish to preserve whatever assets they own for the benefit of their surviving family members. John helps folks with this process.
