Our firm provides legal advice on Elder Law issues and Estate Planning issues to older persons and their families. Our attorneys are active in the community and serve on the local chapter of the Alzheimer's Board and a number of other organizations which deal with senior and health care issues. The attorneys are frequent faculty members of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and instruct other attorneys throughout the state on the laws, regulations and policies surrounding Elder Law and Estate Planning.

Jan Brown’s law firm, Jan L. Brown & Associates, practices in the areas of elder law, estate planning and estate administration. Prior to opening her firm, she worked with national healthcare and insurance companies, including Humana and Cigna. Ms. Brown is a member of the Dauphin, Pennsylvania and District of Columbia Bar Associations. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Elder Law Committee and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She was an active member of the Pennsylvania’s Attorney General’s Task Force for the Protection of Older Pennsylvanians and was the Chairperson for the Dauphin County Area on Aging Agency Advisory Board for four years. Currently she is on the Board of Directors for the Greater Pennsylvania Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and on the Advisory Board for Preferred Choice Hospice Foundation. Jan was awarded the 50 Best Business Women in the state of Pennsylvania in the year 2000. Jan teaches the Apprise program coordinated at the request of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. Jan is the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s expert witness in the State’s action against fraudulent estate planning and Living Trusts sale practices. Nominated by the Department of Aging and serves on “Pennsylvania’s First Summit on End of Life” to represent Pennsylvania’s older persons’ interests. She received her B.A. from American University in Washington, D.C. and her J.D. from George Mason University in Virginia. She frequently lectures on elder law and estate planning issues for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. She has testified before the House of Aging and Youth Committee and meets with legislators regarding issues concerning treatment of seniors and their families. She also speaks regularly to healthcare and community groups. Jan has served on the faculty for Temple University and Penn State University geriatric and healthcare administration graduate programs and for the Penn State Dickinson School of Law.

Jacqueline Kelly practices in the areas of elder law, estate planning, and estate administration. Jacqueline is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She received her B.A. from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, and her J.D. from Dickinson Law School of the Pennsylvania State University. While at Dickinson Law School, Attorney Kelly participated in the Elder Law Clinic, including taking a supervisory role in providing legal advice to low income seniors. Attorney Kelly is married and enjoys playing soccer.
